Since 1925, The American Legion has sponsored a nationwide
youth baseball program. During these past eight decades, millions
of young players have enjoyed playing baseball. The American Legion
and their 2.8 million members have raised millions of dollars each
year for players to learn the importance of teamwork, discipline,
leadership and good sportsmanship. The American Legion sponsors
American Legion Baseball to give players an opportunity to develop
their skills, personal fitness, leadership qualities and to have fun.

Sat, Jul 18: 11 AM Benson v Franklin 1:30 PM Benson v Senators 4:00 PM Franklin v Senators. All games at Franklin field located in Portland between 54th & Division. All games 7 innings. Best record in the three games advances to State. In the event of a three-way tie, teams will play the same schedule on Sun, July 19. There will be a tie-breaker (unknown at this time) should all teams be tied after two days. Art Cummins
Mon, Jun 29 No game. Players to meet for AAA game vs Albany at WU before 5 PM. Otherwise, day off and well earned. Wed, Jul 15 - DH at Grants Pass starting at 5 PM. Team will leave WU around 12:30 PM. The Sunset tournament is cancelled because of sub-State competition on Sat, Jul 18 & 19. That means no game on Fri, Jul 17. Sat, Jul 18 is sub-State competition at Franklin HS in Portland. Senators will play Benson & Franklin that day. Win two and its off to State. If each team wins one and loses one, the format is repeated on Sunday, Jul 19 at Franklin HS. More on this to follow. Tue, Jul 21 DH with North Eugene hopefully to get ready for State. Coach Hoff will not be with us for the Yakima trip, so yours truly will be in the coaching box for that tournament. The Program/Media Guide is being prepared for publication. I expect it to go to press by the end of this week. If you have an ad that has been paid for, get it to my office ASAP or it won't be in the booklet. Art Cummins
